Can you formulate a suppository?
It depends on the type and intended use. I can formulate cosmetic-grade vaginal gel inserts and hydrogel formats. Solid suppositories containing drug-classified actives such as pharmaceutical-grade boric acid, antifungals, or prescription ingredients fall outside cosmetic formulation scope
Is boric acid a cosmetic ingredient?
No. Boric acid in suppository format is classified as a drug in the US and EU. I do not formulate drug products. If your product contains boric acid as an active, I am not the right formulator for that specific product.
Will the formula be safe for vaginal use?
All intimate formulas I develop are designed with mucosal compatibility, appropriate pH range, and non-irritating ingredients in mind. However, safety testing, patch testing, and clinical validation are the brand owner's responsibility before going to market.
Do you handle regulatory filing or product registration?
No. I deliver the formulation. Regulatory classification, safety assessments, FDA cosmetic reg, and EU CPNP notification are outside this scope and require a licensed regulatory consultant. I can flag potential classification concerns in my deliverable so you know what to take to your consultant
Can I use the formula for private label or commercial production?
Yes. All formulas are developed as work-for-hire. Yu own the formula upon full payment.
Do you source ingredients or manufacture the product?
No. I deliver the formula, INCI list, and method of manufacture. Sourcing and production are your responsibility. I can recommend ingredient categories and supplier types but do not manage procurement for this gig
What information do I need to provide before you start?
Product type and intended function, target market, any preferred ingredients, certifications required (vegan, cruelty-free, etc.), and whether you have a regulatory consultant. I send a brief scoping questionnaire before every order to confirm fit.
Can you reformulate an existing product?
Yes, reformulation is available under the a custom package. Share your current formula or INCI list and I will assess compatibility, stability issues, and improvement opportunities.
What file format will I receive?
Formula document in PDF format, including full INCI list, phase breakdown, usage rates, method of manufacture, and notes.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes. A mutual NDA is standard for all clinical formulation engagements. A service and IP agreement is also executed before work begins on premium orders or any order involving proprietary ingredients.
