I will create children picture book art and KDP layout
Jason F
About this gig
Children picture book illustration, storybook art, and Amazon KDP layout support for authors who want a polished, consistent booknot disconnected images. I turn your manuscript, page plan, and character notes into warm illustrations with clear storytelling, expressive poses, and text-safe compositions for self-publishing.
You receive original digital artwork in your chosen style, consistent characters across scenes, high-resolution JPG/PNG files, and practical guidance for trim size, bleed, pagination, and print-ready preparation. I can illustrate a single page, a short sequence, or help plan a complete children's story book from sketch to final art.
My process is simple: review your manuscript and references, confirm the visual direction, create a sketch for approval, develop the final illustration, and prepare the agreed files.
Please message me before ordering a full book so I can confirm page count, style, deadline, usage rights, and the best package.

FAQ
Can you illustrate a complete children’s picture book for Amazon KDP?
Yes. I can quote a custom package for the full manuscript, including page illustrations, character consistency, cover art, and agreed interior-layout support.
Do you create KDP-ready children’s book illustrations with bleed?
Yes. I can prepare artwork to your requested trim size and bleed specifications, provided you share the exact KDP template or dimensions before production.
Can you illustrate a 32-page self-published picture book?
Yes. A 32-page project requires a custom quote because page count, spreads, characters, backgrounds, revisions, and cover requirements affect the schedule and price.
Do you format the complete children’s book interior?
I provide basic layout guidance and can arrange agreed text and artwork. Advanced publishing preparation, extensive typography, or platform-specific preflight should be included in a custom offer.
Will the same character look consistent on every page?
Yes. I use approved character references, color notes, and a visual guide so the character’s face, clothing, proportions, and personality remain consistent.
Can you illustrate rhyming stories for preschool children?
Yes. I can create clear, playful scenes for preschool and early-reader books, with compositions that leave readable space for your rhyme or page text.
Do you provide sketches before final children’s book artwork?
Yes. The selected package includes a sketch stage so you can approve the composition and major storytelling choices before final rendering.
Are commercial rights included in the price?
Usage rights depend on the package and project. Please discuss commercial use, print sales, merchandising, and copyright transfer before ordering so the agreement is written clearly.
Can you match an existing book illustration style?
I can take inspiration from references and reproduce an agreed visual direction, but I will not copy another living artist’s distinctive style or copyrighted artwork.
What should I send for a children’s KDP illustration order?
Send the manuscript, page breakdown, trim size, bleed needs, character descriptions, visual references, preferred file format, deadline, and intended use.
