Shopify 2.0's Dawn theme is, as they say, "lean, fast, and reliable". Being the free default theme, it's hard to find any downsides - until you realize you can't get your website to look exactly how you want it. If you conform to their template, you get a cookie cutter site and it becomes difficult to stand out.
So what do you do?
I have hundreds of hours of experience working on the Dawn theme, and I can help you add your desired customization while keeping it just as fast and optimzed. I work on the same HTML-first, JavaScript-only-as-needed approach, and my aim is to change as little code as possible so that the load speed remains blazingly fast.
If you are enquiring about a custom built section, it may possibly require more JavaScript, depending on the function. Quotes are free, and I will provide a transparent explanation to ensure that there are no surprises after the implementation.
