What is OpenSCAD and why use parametric modeling?
OpenSCAD is a code-based software for creating solid, parametric 3D models. The major advantage is that you can easily change variables like width, height, and holes using code, instantly generating thousands of precise variations of a part.
Do you send me the editable .scad source code file?
Yes! Unlike other software, I deliver the fully commented and clean .scad source code file, along with ready-to-use exported files.
Can I change the parameters of the model after receiving it?
Yes. The code is developed in a modular and customizable way, allowing you to change measurements and dimensions as many times as you want directly in OpenSCAD.
How does the process work if I want to fix or optimize an existing OpenSCAD code?
You send me your current .scad file and explain what error is occurring (such as failures in difference(), union(), non-manifold polygons) or what new feature you want to add. I will fix it, optimize the rendering time, and return working code.
What file formats are delivered in the final order?
What file formats are delivered in the final order? By default, I deliver the .scad source code and fabrication-ready files in .stl and .3mf. Other formats like .dxf, .svg, .csg, or .obj are also available upon request.
Are the models tested to ensure there are no non-manifold mesh errors?
Yes, all codes are tested and designed to ensure solid, watertight geometries ready for export without geometry errors in the slicer.
