A line edit aims to improve the prose on a sentence and paragraph level. While a copyedit ensures your manuscript is free of grammatical errors and meets publishing standards, the line edit focuses on making your style and voice shine to give your audience a great reading experience.

This service doesn't provide feedback on big-picture elements such as structure, plot, and character development. I recommend doing a developmental edit to polish the story before booking this service. Working on the story typically involves a lot of rewriting, so paying to improve the prose before that would mean paying for it again after rewrites, therefore wasting your money.

You'll receive an edited version of your manuscript with all the changes tracked via Word so you can keep your agency and review the edits before accepting them. I will also comment on the changes to explain them when relevant.

I'm well versed in romance and fantasy, but I'll happily look at most fiction genres. I don't currently accept nonfiction manuscripts. Don't hesitate to contact me before ordering to discuss your project and needs. I can also provide a rate more tailored to your word count than the packages.
