While AI can be great for creating an early draft while you're refining the plot beats and structural elements, it can't replicate natural human prose and emotion in it's fullness, and it has many 'tells' that affect reader experience. As a professional line editor and an agented published author with HarperCollins, I will rewrite, edit and humanize your AI novel without using AI so that it's as smooth, natural and immersive as possible. How will your rewriting, editing and humanizing of my AI prose strengthen the novel?
It will remove AI 'tells' such as commonly overused phrases, repetition, overwriting, lines that don't make sense, overtelling/overexplaining, robotic rhythm and overused AI sentence construction formulas.
Which word processor do you work with, and how will I receive my edits?
I work with Microsoft word, and you will receive a tracked changes version of your file with my edits, changes, suggestions and comments visible and marked up on the MS and in the margins, as well as a clean copy with all changes made and comments removed.
Will you judge me for using AI in the draft?
No! AI has made storytelling accessible for more people. The problem comes when people use AI to generate novels and publish them without the essential human step, resulting in poor-quality work and bad reviews. I will rewrite, edit and humanize the prose of your AI novel to help you avoid this.
