A calaverita is a traditional mexican poem that playfully tells a story involving death, represented by La Catrina, and the memory of a loved one, an acquaintance, or an icon of pop culture.

These poems are written for "Día de muertos", the Day of the dead, when the spirits come out of the underworld to see their families and friends again.

And now you can take part in this holiday with your own poem about whoever you want! You can have a calaverita for yourself, laugh or cry, and even dedicate it to a special one and make them smile.

Each calaverita comes with 4 stanzas of 4 verses, and it is written in spanish, to respect the tradition. A free translation comes with each poem so you can read it, understand it in a deeper level, and share with your friends.
