Teachers, drama instructors, and eager parents alike -- writing plays for your kids can be tiresome and difficult on top of everything else you have to worry about. I know from my time teaching that, as end of year performances roll around, the idea of writing a script with everything else going on is too much!
Let me take that work off your hands! I've written several scripts over my years of teaching for my kids to perform, including adapting Mulan for five year olds, adapting Little Red Riding Hood as a musical, adapting High School Musical and Lion King for eighteen year olds, and numerous nativity plays.
With these packages, you can expect:
- A fully realised adaptation of an existing story for your class performances.
- Accurate character count so that everyone is included!
- The perfect tone to suit your children's ages -- from cute comedy suited to youngsters or something more refined for older kids.
- An appropriate format according to your brief -- I can format the play as a professional scriptwriter would or in a more compact style

Do you write original plays?
Yes, I can something original based off your brief. This would require an extra charge. Get in touch for a quote!
What ages do you write for?
I have written performance plays for a variety of ages between 4 to 18. Some of these were second language learners.
Who retains rights to the plays?
You have the rights to any original plays you employ me to write. Otherwise, I only adapt public domain stories. If you ask me to adapt a copyrighted work, I assume you have obtained permission from the copyright owner to do so.
Will you print the plays?
No. I will provide you with a fully printable digital copy of the play, either as a Word document or a PDF (your choice).
Do you offer any accessibility options?
Yes. I can write the play in high-contrast or record the play as an audio file. I am also experienced with writing plays for second language learners and children with additional needs.
What is included in a revision?
All of my gigs come with a free revision which can cover: correcting errors; the rephrasing of individual lines; tweaks to tone, style, and language complexity to suit your learners; changes to setting. A revision is not a rework or rewrite. Please provide all of your requirements when ordering.
