FAQ
What do you mean by editing?
Editing is a step up from proofreading. While proofreading is the final step, editing is one step before that. Editing will offer clarity on the sentence level and flow between paragraphs. It also includes proofreading!
Will you change the authenticity of my voice?
No. My goal is to preserve your unique scholarly voice while making your writing clear, polished, and error-free. I focus on sentence-level clarity and flow between paragraphs, but I do not rewrite your ideas, arguments, or phrasing. Your academic style and tone remain intact.
Do you provide content or structural editing?
No. This service is focused on editing and proofreading and does not modify the structure or content of your agument. For structural editing, click on the links for my other gigs (under construction).
Can you format my references or citations?
Yes. With an updgrade, I check for consistency and language-level correctness in citations according to APA, MLA, or Chicago style, but I do not create or reformat references. My focus is on the text itself, ensuring your writing reads clearly and professionally.
What file types to you accept?
I accept Word documents (.doc or .docx) or PDF documents. I will return them to you in the same format in which they are submitted.
What will I receive when you are done?
You will receive two documents. One will display Tracked Changes, and the other is a corrected, fininshed version. If you submitted in Word, I'll return in Word. If you submitted a PDF, I'll return a PDF.
Do you offer faster turnaround time?
Yes, as an upgrade.
When you offer two revisions, am I on a deadline to request the second revision?
No. I am flexible and will work with you on a second revision. I understand obstacles and hitches!
If none of your packages fit what I need, what do I do?
Please feel free to message me. I am more than willing to offer a custom package (and will modify and pivot as needed based on your constraints).
