Do you have a song idea... but aren't sure what to do with it?
I know what that's like. I'd come up with a verse I loved but couldn't find the chorus. Maybe you have a chord progression you love but can't find the melody. Maybe you've always wanted to write songs and simply don't know where to begin! I'd love to help.
I'm a singer-songwriter, music educator, and musician with 25+ years of musical experience and a degree in Music Performance. My approach to songwriting coaching isn't to write your song for you...it's to help you become a better songwriter.
In our sessions, we can explore:

- Melody and lyrics
- Song structure
- Verses, choruses, bridges, and transitions
- Getting unstuck on unfinished songs
- Using music theory practically
- Finding what makes your song uniquely yours
Beginners are absolutely welcome! You don't need formal musical training or music theory knowledge. Bring whatever you have: a few chords, half a lyric, a voice memo, or simply an idea or theme. My goal is for you to leave excited about your music, with a clearer idea of where to go next.

FAQ
Do I need any songwriting experience?
Not at all! Beginners are absolutely welcome. Whether you've never finished a song before or you've already written several, we'll start with where you are and focus on helping you take the next step.
Do I need to know music theory or read music?
Nope! You don't need any formal music training. If music theory would help explain something we're working on, I'll introduce it in a practical, understandable way.
What should I bring to our session?
Bring whatever you have! It could be a finished or unfinished song, lyrics, a chord progression, a melody, a voice memo, or even just an idea you'd like to develop. You don't need a polished song before we meet.
Will you write my song for me?
My focus is coaching rather than writing the song for you. I'll help you explore possibilities, solve problems, understand why something is or isn't working, and develop your own ideas while keeping the song authentically yours.
What parts of songwriting can we work on?
We can work on chord progressions, melody, lyrics, harmony, song structure, verses, choruses, bridges, transitions, music theory, or simply figuring out what to do when you're stuck.
