FAQ
What do you need from me to start the accessibility audit?
I need your website URL and any specific pages, documents, or accessibility requirements you want tested. For private websites, you may also need to provide access.
Do you test manually or only use automated accessibility scanners?
I use both. Manual testing includes keyboard navigation, focus, page structure, and assistive technology testing. Automated tools are used to identify additional issues.
Which WCAG version do you test against?
I primarily test against WCAG 2.2 and can map findings to the relevant WCAG success criteria. If you require another standard, please contact me before ordering.
Do you test with screen readers?
Yes. Depending on the package, testing can include NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Can you audit PDFs and digital documents?
Yes. I can assess PDFs and other digital content for relevant accessibility barriers and document findings against applicable accessibility criteria.
Do you fix the issues found during the audit?
This gig focuses on auditing, testing, documenting, and recommending fixes. Implementation and remediation are available through my accessibility remediation service.
Will your audit guarantee WCAG or ADA compliance?
No. An audit cannot guarantee legal compliance or eliminate all accessibility risk. I provide documented findings based on the agreed testing scope and applicable accessibility criteria.
What will I receive after the audit?
You will receive a detailed report with identified issues, affected pages or elements, WCAG criteria, evidence, priority or severity, and recommended remediation.
