What information do I need to provide to get started?
Just send me a photo, sketch, reference image, or dimensions of your product. If you have an existing 3D file (STL, STEP, or OBJ), that works great too. I'll review it and confirm the best mold type before you order.
What software do you use and what file formats will I receive?
I design in SolidWorks and Fusion 360. You'll receive STL, STEP, and IGES files — compatible with all 3D printers, CNC machines, and manufacturing software. Source files (SLDPRT) are available on the Premium tier.
Can you design molds for 3D printing, or only for factory manufacturing?
Both! I design 3D printable molds optimized for FDM and resin printers, as well as production-grade injection molds and slip casting molds for manufacturers. Just let me know your intended use.
Do you do injection mold design with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) analysis?
Yes. My Standard and Premium packages include draft angle validation, wall thickness checks, parting line placement, and venting — everything a manufacturer needs to approve your mold for production.
