Yes. Please contact me before ordering and send an anonymized sample workbook, a description of the current manual process, your Excel version and an example of the expected output. I will confirm feasibility, package, price and delivery time before development begins.
Should my automation use VBA or Python?
You do not need to choose in advance. I will recommend the most suitable option after reviewing your process, files and environment. VBA is often suitable for automation inside Excel, while Python is useful for larger datasets, multiple files, advanced processing or external integrations.
What information do you need to start the project?
I need anonymized sample files, a step-by-step description of the current process, your Excel version and operating system, the expected output, the approximate data volume and all relevant business rules. A short screen recording of the manual process is also helpful.
Will the automation work on Windows and macOS?
Compatibility depends on the selected technology and your Excel version. VBA, Power Query and Python behave differently across Windows, macOS and Excel Online. The supported operating system and Excel version will be confirmed before development.
Can you modify an existing Excel workbook or VBA macro?
Yes, after reviewing the workbook and its existing structure. Please mention any macros, protected sheets, external links, Power Query connections or third-party add-ins. Complex or undocumented legacy workbooks may require a custom offer.
What is included in a revision?
A revision corrects the delivered automation so that it matches the requirements agreed before development. New files, additional rules, new reports, new integrations or functionality not included in the original scope require an extra or custom offer.
Will I receive the source code?
Buyer-specific VBA or Python code is included when stated in the package or custom offer. Reusable internal libraries, passwords, API keys, licensed components and third-party code that cannot be redistributed are not included.
Can the automation generate PDFs, send emails or connect to other systems?
Yes, depending on the package and technical requirements. Possible integrations include PDF export, Outlook or email, Google Sheets, databases and external APIs. Authentication, provider limits, security requirements and installation must be reviewed before ordering.
Can I send confidential business files?
Please use anonymized sample files during the quotation stage and remove names, addresses, account numbers, passwords and other sensitive information. Production data should only be shared after the scope and handling requirements have been agreed.
