I studied video ad scriptwriting from Harmon Brothers University. They're the guys behind the "Squatty Potty" commercial with the guy in the medieval prince outfit and the unicorn that poops rainbow-colored soft-serve. Yum.

How did you learn to write video ads? Is there a set process you follow?
I learned the principles of humorous ad-writing from Harmon Brothers University. They have a proven template to follow — just add humor. Because the hook/lead is so important, I also use the principles in "Great Leads" to target the lead to the traffic temperature.
Why 60-90 seconds? Can you write a longer ad script?
Yes, there is an option to purchase a longer script, but 60-90 seconds is usually the optimal time limit for a video ad. Remember, people have short attention spans! We want to hook them quickly!
Do you only write spokesperson monologue, or do you help with actual visual aspects?
My scripts include suggestions and guidance for the visual aspects of the script. They are broken into two columns — one for the spokesperson narration, one for the accompanying imagery. You can hand the script over to a video producer and they will know what to do.
Do you produce the actual videos?
I do not. However, I can consult about the cheapest/easiest ways to produce a video. The least expensive method is to film the videos yourself using images and footage you already have. Stock footage or imagery, along with actors or AI voices, is usually the next easiest/most affordable option.
What is the "Concept Consult?"
This is a 30-minute Zoom call included with every tier of this gig. We discuss your offer and your brand and how best to represent it in a video ad.
What is the "Concept Brainstorm?"
The "Concept Brainstorm" is a 60-minute Zoom call included in the second and third tiers of this gig. In it, we brainstorm humorous and entertaining concepts for the video. It's your chance to add your input into the creative process and share ideas you may have had on the back-burner.
What is "Competitive Analysis?"
Competitive Analysis is included with the third-tier gig. It includes a review of your company's testimonials and reviews, compared with the testimonials and reviews of your top competitors, to assess your strengths and weaknesses within your niche and target your ads accordingly.
What is "Sales Call Analysis?"
Sales Call Analysis is included with the third-tier gig package. If you have recorded sales calls, we analyze those calls to see what questions your prospects ask on sales calls, so we can address those objections in the video ad.
