Yes, with care. Wix pages get rebuilt by hand; WordPress posts can often be imported. I map every old URL to its new page with 301 redirects, so traffic and backlinks survive the website redesign. A short ranking dip can follow any platform move, but redirects protect what you've built.

Yours. I either join your account as a contributor, so you never share a password, or build on a trial and transfer ownership at handoff. Either way you're the site owner, billed by Squarespace directly, and can remove my access anytime. Stripe or PayPal get reconnected under your login.
