Why only the first chapter?
Your first chapter is everything, to a reader, a literary agent, and a publisher. It's also everything to you, because that is where your story begins. Once you have a solid first chapter, everything else becomes clearer. It's also a great test if you're on the fence about a complete Beta Read.
Are you the right fit for my genre?
