I am an experienced singer-songwriter with a big heart and a knack for words, and I would love to help you create the perfect gift for your loved one. For the song, I will request some information from you, such as particular story lines, concepts, or musical styles you want. From there, I will write and record a complete, original song for your loved one. This is an excellent way to give a personalized gift that your loved one will adore. Flowers die; going out to dinner is a one time thing; but a personalized, well-recorded song will last forever.
With each package, you'll get the full recorded song along with lyrics, which you can use as desired (you will have the license to post to social media, etc.). Each package includes a well-recorded song using professional hardware and software. With the premium package, you can also license the song for commercial use, if you desire. In this case (commercial licensing), I will register the song with my publisher for royalties, and the song will publish to all major streamers.

FAQ
Is the song a generic song or do you add specific features for my loved one?
I will talk to you about anything important you want in the song, and then I will work to fit it in there to your specifications. This will not just be "any old love song." It will be a personalized gift you can share with your loved one.
Do I need to do anything extra in the premium package to publish the song to major streamers?
No. I have an established relationship with a publisher. They will take care of publishing the song and will collect royalties on my behalf anytime the song is played. The price for publishing is included in the premium package.
Can I use the song any way I want?
Once the song is in your possession, it is yours to use as desired. However, if you intend to use the song for commercial purposes, please let me know so that I can publish it and collect royalties. You don't pay for the royalties in this case, only the publishing cost ($29.95).
Can I pay you extra to publish a song without the premium package?
Yes, in certain circumstances. Preparing a song for streaming requires a lot more work in mixing and mastering. That's why the premium package costs what it does, to cover this extra work and to cover publishing costs. Still, ask me about other publishing options if this is something you want.
How will you record the song?
I have a home studio with professional recording equipment. I will treat your song just as I would one of my own, recording it with care and precision at a quality akin to modern musical standards.
In what format do you deliver the song?
I can deliver in almost any format - WAV, AIFF, mP3, etc. Unless you specify otherwise, I will record at 24-bit, 44.1 kHz, which is slightly above "CD" quality audio. If you want a higher quality (i.e. 96 kHz), and don't mind the extra large file size, let me know, and I can do that for you.
How much larger is a 96kHz song compared to 44.1kHz?
A 16-bit, 44.1kHz file (which is the standard CD quality) is 10.584 MB/minute. A 24-bit, 96kHz song (generally the highest quality sound file) is 34.56 MB/minute. So, you can expect file sizes for a 96kHz song to be about 3.5 times greater than a "CD quality file."
Will I be able to hear the difference between 96kHz quality and 44.1kHz?
Probably not. Here is a good review of the topic: http://heronislandstudio.co.uk/?p=155. To test if you can hear a difference, try streaming "lossless" audio versus standard audio on your premium streaming service, and see if you can hear a difference. You probably won't.
