FAQ
What file formats will you provide?
I will deliver high-resolution .STL files, which are standard for all 3D printers and slicers. I will also provide .STEP or .IGES files, which are universal CAD formats, allowing you to edit the geometry in the future. Native SolidWorks files are not provided.
What do you need from me to start designing?
You can send me hand-drawn sketches with dimensions, reference pictures, technical specifications, or even just a very detailed explanation of your idea. If you have existing files to modify, please send them in .STEP format.
Can you design multi-part assemblies that fit together after printing?
Yes! With my mechanical engineering background, I understand the importance of adding the correct clearances and tolerances (usually 0.2mm to 0.4mm depending on the printer) so your 3D printed parts snap or screw together perfectly.
