I will whimsical illustrations for books and magazines

Hi, Im Junyi, an illustrator and designer with an MFA in Illustration from SCAD.

I create illustrations for books and magazines, combining expressive characters, atmospheric settings, and thoughtful compositions tailored to your story or publication.

What I offer:

Black-and-white or monochrome spot illustrations

Full-color book interiors and front covers

Magazine cover illustrations

Wraparound book covers and double-page spreads

My process:

1. Thumbnail sketches to explore ideas and compositions

2. A refined composition for your approval

3. 35 color studies to explore mood and palette

4. Final artwork, with progress updates along the way

Color studies are included in Standard and Premium. Basic uses black-and-white or monochrome treatments. Compositions can accommodate text areas, page folds, and supplied cover templates.

You'll receive high-resolution JPG or PNG files. Editable source files are available as an extra.

Each package covers one illustration. Typography, publication layout, full books, series, and complex scenes require a separate quote.

Please message me before ordering to discuss your brief, dimensions, intended use, and deadline.
