Well, both have gentle themes with a focus on lighthearted feelings. Slice-of-Life focuses on friendships, hijinks, and character development. Iyashikei focuses on quiet and peaceful moments, relishing nature and cozy atmospheres, and romanticizing the everyday. Basically, the idea of Hygge.
