I will set up a shopify cookie banner that actually blocks your scripts

Shopify's built-in cookie banner does not stop tracking scripts in your theme or in other apps. A visitor can decline and those scripts still load. I set up a banner that holds them until the visitor chooses.

I use Novece Cookie Consent, an app I build and publish on the Shopify App Store. Its free plan covers the banner and real script blocking, so the core setup has no monthly software cost. Consent Mode v2, the consent log and the policy generator are on the app's paid Complete plan. That subscription goes to Shopify, not to me, and is not included in this fee.

I can also configure a different CMP: Cookiebot, Pandectes, Consentmo or whatever you run.

WHAT I DO

- Install the banner and match it to your theme

- Configure GA4, Meta, TikTok, Hotjar or your own scripts so they do not load before consent

- Wire choices into Shopify's Customer Privacy API, so pixels and checkout agree

- Add a footer link so visitors can change their mind

- Send a verification report with screenshots

WHAT I DON'T DO
