What's the difference between alpha reading and beta reading?
Alpha reading is done on early or rough drafts think first or second draft. The story may still have major gaps or unfinished scenes. Beta reading is done on a more complete draft, closer to what you'd publish or submit. Both are we
Will you rewrite or edit my manuscript?
No. Beta and alpha reading is about feedback, not editing. I won't rewrite your sentences or correct your grammar. I'll tell you what's working and what's not from a reader's perspective. If you need editing, check my other gigs.
What if my manuscript is longer than 80,000 words?
Just message me before ordering. I can create a custom package for longer manuscripts. I've worked on manuscripts up to 120,000 words and I'm comfortable with longer projects.
Do you read explicit content?
Yes. I'm comfortable with adult romance, dark romance, and explicit content. You don't need to tone anything down for me.
Will you keep my manuscript confidential?
Absolutely. Everything you share with me stays between us. I do not share, distribute, or discuss your manuscript with anyone. Your story is safe with me.
How do I prepare my manuscript before sending it?
Just share it as a Google Doc or a Word document. It doesn't need to be perfectly formatted especially for alpha reads. Clean enough to read is all I need.
Can I order if my manuscript isn't finished yet?
Yes, for alpha reads. If you're doing a beta read, your manuscript should be complete or mostly complete. For partial manuscripts, choose the Basic or Standard package based on your word count.
