FAQ
What is the mostly used Platform to Setup an Email Server?
A Linux based platform like CentOS, Debian, or Ubuntu is usually used to setup an Email Server using Postfix and Dovecot. But we support setting up on MacOS (latest OS supported) as well if you wish to have your email server in a Mac Mini or any other personal device you wish to manage.
What are the Facilities of the frontend Administration Interface?
We provide an administration interface that can be used to manage most of your email server with facilities like: creating and managing mailboxes (unlimited email addresses), adding your own domain names (unlimited), manage storage quota assigned for each user, broadcast messages, etc.
How are the Mailboxes and Credentials stored in the Server?
For storing sensitive information and the mailboxes, we use a MySQL server usually placed in the same email server with different credentials for authenticating database users. This is the database used by both the frontend and the backend for user/mailbox authentication.
How are the Email Contents and Attachments getting stored in the Server?
Dovecot has a customizable and access restricted (secured) directory structure to store your emails (directories: domain.com > user@domain.com > all-emails). The email content and attachments are usually stored in textual format, but we can make them encrypted on request.
How do you plan to Transfer the Knowledge after setting up?
We could schedule a one-on-one meeting for maximum 2 hours to deliver a personal guidance on managing the frontend and the backend.
Can you help us with any Server Maintenance after setting it up?
Certainly, you could request our service at any incident or any future maintenance activity. We wish to serve you with our Basic package available and according to its mentioned rates. We promise you the quickest response and the most satisfied service from us.
