What do you need from me to get started?
I'll need access to your data source — this could be an Excel file, CSV, a database connection string, or a SharePoint list. If you're connecting to a live source like SQL Server or an API, read-only credentials are enough. If you're unsure what to share, just message me and I'll guide you through.
Do I need a Power BI Pro or Premium license to use the dashboard?
For personal use, Power BI Desktop is completely free. If you want to share the dashboard with your team or publish it to the web, you'll need a Power BI Pro license (currently around $14/user/month). I'll let you know upfront which setup fits your use case before we begin.
Can you connect Power BI to my existing systems (EHR, CRM, SQL, etc.)?
Yes — Power BI supports over 100 data connectors out of the box, including SQL Server, MySQL, Salesforce, SharePoint, Google Sheets, and many EHR/billing platforms via ODBC or API. If you're using a less common system, message me with the name and I'll confirm compatibility before you place an order
What if my data is messy or not well organised?
That's completely normal, and it's something I handle regularly. Power BI's Power Query editor lets me clean, reshape, and transform raw data before it ever reaches your visuals. Whether it's duplicate rows, inconsistent date formats, or data spread across multiple sheets — I'll take care of it.
