Hi! I prefer Microsoft Word so that I can make in-line comments, as well as suggesting edits if you choose to add the proofreading add-on. I will also provide at least a page or two write-up summarizing your strengths and weaknesses in plot, pacing, characterization, etc. If you have a template you'd like me to fill out I can do that as well!

Besides beta reading for friends, in 2017, I started an internship at a small publisher, where I trudged through the slush pile and wrote reports on manuscripts. In 2019, I was chosen to proofread manuscripts for grammar/style as well, which I was accepted through by a testing process set by the publisher. I follow MLA/Merriam Webster/Chicago Manual of Style.

Whatever you would like best! I can do a quarter at a time, half at a time, or just return it to you all at once!
What is your critique style?
I am a HUGE cheerleader for what I love! When I deliver critiques, I do so gently - just as I hope my betas do with me. Your manuscript is your baby and I treat it as such. Although professional, I do tend to be voicey in my comments as I am with my friends.
