A developmental edit is a "big picture" edit, usually the first edit--the edit you need right after you finish your first or second draft. Which means I don't look for grammatical or spelling errors, but I identify the big problems in your manuscript and offer helpful solutions.

I look at the structure, the pacing, chemistry levels, the character arcs, themes, strengths, and weaknesses. I'll tell you if a scene isn't working or a chapter doesnt quite fit or this character's dialogue is inconsistent or unbelievable. Big picture things. 

I have been a proofreader, beta reader, and editor for over eight years. I have worked with multiple bestselling amazon authors, and one NYT author, and I worked for two e-publishers. I edit all topics, sub-genres, and fetishes! No triggers.
