I always recommend testing in a separate branch or environment first, and I set up permissions conservatively so the agents cannot make changes you have not approved. I will never touch live production without your explicit confirmation.
Do I need to give you access to my codebase?
For setup-only work, often not. For debugging or workflow building, I will need limited, time-boxed access which you can revoke immediately after delivery. I never ask for more access than the task requires.
What if my request is something you have not handled before?
I will tell you honestly before you order. If it needs research on my end, I will say so upfront rather than promising something I am not confident I can deliver well.
How fast can you turn this around?
