What if my manuscript covers science outside your area of expertise?
My strongest areas are biology, genetics, biotechnology, ecology, and environmental science. If your manuscript covers physics, chemistry, or other fields, I'll flag what seems off and recommend where to research further, but I'll be upfront about the limits of my expertise.
Will you fix the science for me?
I'll identify what breaks immersion and suggest directions for fixing it, but the rewriting is up to you. Think of me as a knowledgeable reader pointing out problems, not a co-author solving them.
What if my science is intentionally fictional?
That's totally fine! I'll flag where a scientifically literate reader might push back, and you can decide what to keep. Some rule-breaking is great storytelling; I'll help you know which liberties cost you credibility and which don't.
Do you read all genres or just hard sci-fi?
I cover any genre where science plays a role: sci-fi, biopunk, cli-fi, medical thrillers, near-future fiction, and even horror with scientific elements.
