I'll read through your first chapter and send you a thorough follow-up report as well as comment throughout your document to give you real-time reading thoughts. I, as a reader, will be completely honest. I've been an avid reader all my life and want to help you make your story great.
You'll get my honest reader opinion, as well as my critical writer's eye. I've been beta reading, alpha reading, and critiquing fellow writers' manuscripts for years.
If you were to ask any of my critique partners, they would tell you that I'm known for my compliment sandwich. I know how hard it is to turn over your work to someone else and I'm not looking to crush you. I want to elevate your writing. To me, that doesn't just mean letting you know what's wrong. It also means letting you know what's right. I will tell you what I like as well as what I think needs work. I want you to walk away satisfied!
I'm not currently offering samples on beta reads or services for non-fiction works. Sorry for any inconvenience.

FAQ
What does a beta read cover?
This will mostly depend on what your story needs as I read, but in general, a beta read with me consists of focusing on: Pacing, plot, character development, worldbuilding, typos, grammar, and prose. In the requirements, I always ask what you'd like me to focus on.
What if I have follow up questions?
I always welcome follow-up questions! However, if you have them, I'd appreciate it if you'd ask them within the gig chat since I do not typically offer revisions.
What file types do you accept?
I currently accept manuscripts as doc, docx, pdf, and google doc files. If you wish to send me a google doc, please talk to me about this before booking so I can walk you through the process of sharing it.
Do you use AI for your beta reads?
No. I do beta reading because I love storytelling. So, I do absolutely everything from scratch. I don't use AI to beta read or to write the reader report.
