I will fix nodejs backend bugs and API issues

About this gig
Is your Node.js backend returning errors, failing API requests, or behaving unexpectedly? I will diagnose and fix a clearly defined bug in your existing JavaScript or TypeScript backend or API.
I am a UK-based backend developer experienced with Node.js APIs, databases, third-party integrations and production environments.
I can help with:
- REST API and endpoint errors
- Express, NestJS, Fastify and other Node.js frameworks
- Authentication and authorisation issues
- Database and ORM problems
- Third-party API and webhook failures
- Async/Promise and runtime errors
- Validation, error handling and configuration issues
You will receive:
- A root-cause diagnosis
- A clean, maintainable fix
- Testing of the affected behaviour
- A clear summary of what changed
Please message me before ordering with a description of the problem, the expected behaviour, relevant error logs or screenshots, and your technology stack. I will review the scope and recommend the appropriate package.
This Gig covers existing Node.js backend and API issues. New feature development, major rewrites and multiple unrelated issues may require a custom offer.

FAQ
Should I contact you before placing an order?
Yes, please message me first with a description of the problem, the expected behaviour, your technology stack, and any relevant error messages or logs. I will review the scope and recommend the appropriate package or a custom offer.
What counts as a small or moderate bug?
A small bug is usually isolated, reproducible, and limited to one area of the backend. A moderate issue may require deeper investigation or changes across several related files. I will confirm the complexity before you order.
What does a revision include?
A revision covers adjustments to the agreed fix if the original issue has not been resolved as specified. New features, changed requirements, or unrelated bugs are not revisions and may require an additional order.
What access or information will you need?
Depending on the issue, I may need the source code or repository, setup instructions, error logs, environment details, and steps to reproduce the problem. I will confirm the exact requirements before work begins.
Can you fix several bugs in one order?
Yes, provided the bugs are clearly defined and appropriately scoped. Related issues may fit the Standard or Premium package, while unrelated or complex issues may require a custom offer.
Can you deploy the completed fix?
Yes. Deployment to one existing hosting environment is available as a Gig extra. New infrastructure setup, migrations, or complex deployment problems may need to be scoped separately.
