I approach each manuscript from both a reader's and an editor's perspective.
I'll make note of everything that caught my attention, from the moments I loved to the areas that could be developed further.
If a scene falls flat or a character's motivation feels weak, I'll explain my reasoning and suggest different approaches and solutions.
I'll keep track of details that are easy to miss, like continuity errors and other inconsistencies.
Awkward phrasing, repetitive language, and any minor grammar or punctuation issues will also be marked throughout the manuscript.
Some of the key areas I focus on are:
- overall story structure
- pacing and flow
- plot clarity and inconsistencies
- character development
- motivation, stakes, and narrative impact
- reader immersion and emotional engagement
Your feedback will include:
- in-line comments throughout the manuscript
- chapter-end notes
- an editorial letter (20+ pages of in-depth feedback)

What's the difference between your service and a traditional developmental edit?
Honestly, very little. As an author myself, I know that investing hundreds or even thousands of dollars in a traditional developmental edit isn't feasible for many writers. That's why I created the kind of service I'd want for my own books: in-depth feedback at an affordable price.
Can I ask you questions after the order is completed? (at no extra cost)
Of course! I’m happy to answer any follow-up questions you may have. And if you end up making changes to your manuscript or have new ideas you’d like to discuss, feel free to reach out. No additional payment needed!
Do you work with books that contain explicit adult content or darker themes?
Yes! My own books tend to explore darker themes, so I have experience with these types of stories.
Do you accept LGBTQ+ books?
Absolutely! I've worked on quite a few LGBTQ+ books in the past.
Do you accept nonfiction books?
No. I specialize in fiction only.
Is my manuscript safe with you?
Absolutely! Your writing is your intellectual property. I handle all manuscripts with strict confidentiality and do not share or distribute an author’s work. I’m also happy to sign an NDA if requested!
Do you use AI?
No. I don't use AI at any point in the process.
