Hi, I'm Lizzy! I'm excited to provide structural and developmental edits to take your fiction writing to the next level, whether it's a short story, a novella, one or more chapters, or a full-length novel.
Literary fiction, romance/rom-coms, young adult/new adult (YA/NA), horror, and LGBT+ are my favorite genres to work with. That said, I am more than happy to work with any fiction genre!
All packages include the following services:
- Voice and tone consistency to ensure your piece "sounds" the same throughout
- Developmental editing that focuses on themes, plot lines, and characters
- Structural editing that focuses on the structure and flow of the overall piece
- Sensitivity reading to ensure you are depicting marginalized groups and/or sensitive topics in an unbiased manner
- Positive feedback of what you're doing right
- A review/critique sheet encompassing all of the above

FAQ
Will you check for grammar, syntax, spelling, etc. errors?
No, these packages do not include any proofreading, line editing, or copy editing services. If you are looking for someone to do these "smaller picture" edits, I have another gig on my page for them! I also have a gig that combines both types of edits for a lower price.
Will you rewrite any part of my piece?
No, my goal is to help you be able to rewrite any problem areas on your own. I might offer suggestions on how to rewrite a specific scene, and am willing to help you out with some advice! However, I will not make any changes to the document itself.
How should I share my work with you?
I prefer to edit using Google Drive, so I can easily comment directly on the piece. However, feel free to share your piece using your own preferred method, whether that's sending me a file, using MS Word Track Changes, or something new to me!
What genres will you edit?
I will edit any fiction genre, although high fantasy and hard sci-fi are not for me. I especially love literary fiction, rom-coms, YA/NA, and LGBT+ stories!
Will you edit nonfiction or poetry?
I love poetry! I have experience writing and editing poetry, so I'm more than happy to edit your poems. I will edit nonfiction as well, although it is not my area of expertise. For nonfiction or poetry, please message me first, as the pricing and timeline may be different.
What if I used AI in my piece?
I will not edit any story that was written by AI. Even if AI only played a small role in the creation of the piece, please find another editor.
Will you edit fanfiction?
Of course! However, I might not be familiar with the source material, so be sure to include a cheat sheet with any necessary information I might need to know to understand your fic.
