I'm an avid reader and passionate about wanting to help you by offering thoughtful, honest beta reading for fiction authors. I have firsthand experience with the writing and revision process, and I have completed creative writing courses that have provided a lot of insight into the writing process!
When I beta read, I approach your manuscript as an active reader, focusing on how the story feels, flows, and holds attention.
While reading, I consider:

What genres do you beta read?
I beta read contemporary, dark, pitch black, romance, Horror/ thriller, Mystery. If your story blends genres, feel free to message me first.
Which format should I send my manuscript?
Preferably Word or docx.
Do you edit grammar or rewrite my story?
No. This service focuses on reader insight and critique, not line editing or proofreading.
Do you write in-line comments?
For the premium package I will provide in-line comments.
Can you read early drafts?
Yes! Early drafts are welcome. Beta feedback helps you improve your story before publishing. It can also help to get more feedback before doing another draft edit.
Will my work remain confidential?
Absolutely. Your manuscript is treated professionally and never shared.
What is the length of the report I will receive?
It depends on the length of your manuscript. I want to help you with as much insightful and honest feedback to help you to move forward with your story.
What Information is provided in the reports
All reports will have the following analysis: Plot and Structure, Pacing, Readability, Emotional Depth, Character Development, Inconsistencies and Suggestions and Overall Feedback.
If I have any questions about my manuscript that is outside of the report analysis, can you do this?
Yes absolutely - As long as you let me know the question you are wanting answered in the order before I start reading then I will add my answers to the end of the report. If the question is not something I can answer, I will let you know upfront before I start.
My first draft is messy, will you read it?
Yes - First drafts are meant to be messy. I am happy to help with feedback on the plot any current state. Some authors want to take a break before doing a first draft edit, so I think it's a good opportunity during that down time to get some feedback before going into your first draft edit.
