What's the actual difference between this and a regular chatbot plugin?
Most chatbot plugins either know nothing specific about your business, or need you to manually retrain them every time something changes. A RAG system checks your real documents at the moment someone asks a question, so it stays accurate without extra work from you.
What do I need to provide to get started?
Just your source content, whatever it is. That could be a website URL, PDFs, Word docs, a Notion export, or FAQs you already have written. How much content can each package handle?
Basic covers up to 20 pages/documents, Standard up to 150, and Premium is unlimited with a scalable setup. If you're not sure where your content lands, message me your rough volume before ordering and I'll point you to the right tier.
Do I need a database (vector storage) for this to work?
Not always. For smaller document sets, I can handle retrieval without a dedicated database at all, it's just not necessary at that scale. Once you're dealing with hundreds of documents or more, a proper vector database (like Pinecone or Supabase) keeps things fast and accurate as your content grows,
Do I need to provide an API key?
If you want ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, yes, and I'll walk you through getting one in a few minutes. If you'd rather skip API costs entirely, I can set this up on a self-hosted model through Ollama instead. Happy to talk through the tradeoffs before you order.
Does this work on WordPress or Shopify?
Yes. It's an embed script, so your site's backend doesn't matter, and I don't need admin access to install it.
