I run a two-PC gaming and streaming setup myself and moved my own Windows 11 from StartAllBack to a 24-mod Windhawk setup, so I know which tweaks are safe and which ones quietly break stuff (a couple popular mods break right-click menus and jump lists, I skip those).


what I do:

  • make a restore point first so nothing is permanent
  • remove bloatware, ads and 'recommended' junk
  • clean up startup apps so it boots faster
  • customize the taskbar and Start menu with Windhawk if you want
  • keep it safe for games and anti-cheat (no injecting into games)

we do it over screen share and you stay logged in the whole time, I never need your passwords.
