Got an Italian payslip (busta paga) and can't figure out what all those items mean? I'll explain it in plain English, Italian or Spanish.
I work as a payroll clerk at an Italian labour consultancy firm and read payslips every day. I'll walk you through yours line by line:
- Gross and net pay
- Taxes (IRPEF and surcharges) and INPS contributions
- Overtime, allowances, holidays and leave (ferie, permessi, ROL)
- TFR, 13th and 14th month pay (if applicable)
- Why your net pay changes from month to month.

Can you tell me if my employer paid me correctly?
I explain every item so you can understand your payslip, but I don't certify its correctness or calculate amounts owed. For that, contact a consulente del lavoro, a trade union or a patronato.
Which payslips can you explain?
Payslips issued in Italy under any national collective agreement (CCNL), from any payroll software.
Do I need to send my personal data?
No. Please cover your tax code, IBAN and home address before uploading. I only need the figures and the items.
How do the 3 follow-up questions work?
After delivery, you can send me up to 3 questions by message within 7 days. They are included in Standard and Premium; with Basic you can add them as the "Ongoing support" extra.
How does the video call work?
It's included in Premium, or you can add it as an extra. After delivery we pick a time together and go through your payslip live for 30 minutes.
