About this Gig

What is Go?

Go is an incredibly easy-to-understand board game from ancient China. It is played by putting Black and White stones on a 19x19, 13x13 or 9x9 board, where both players try to surround as much area as possible. I promise, you will need but five minutes to understand the basic rules! Yet, Go is often called the most complex board game ever created, making it all the more exciting and appealing! Sadly, outside of Asia, it is not really as popular as chess. I'm here to change that!


Why me?

I spent two years as a permanent student at the renowned JenaInternationalGoSchool (https://www.go-jigs.eu/). This enabled me to hone my skills in both teaching and studying Go. I know how to show you the beauty and fun of this game. I know which teaching methods work and which don't. As an AGA 5d (the fifth master rank) and German Youth Go Champion, I have the knowledge to help you get started! I also have a background in chess (Elo 1800), which might help if you are more familiar with that.
