About this Gig
I do not use AI in any part of my process.
A galley proof is the last step before publishing. Generally, this is done in a separate document in a "replace, with" format, leaving your manuscript untouched.
What you get:
- A separate document showing proofreading errors and corrections. This includes punctuation, missing words, misspellings, some grammar corrections (repeated words, misused words etc.), quotation fixes, or notes about large gaps in the manuscript.
Yes, I can and will still proofread in the document if asked. This is done with track changes on.
I will proofread just about anything except for anything against TOS.

FAQ
Can you give me a summary of how the plot works etc.?
Yes for a gig extra I can give you generalized feedback (like a smaller version of my critique) for your novel. It can be anywhere from half a page to 2 or so pages. This is good if you don't plan on revising but still want to know how your novel stands as it is right now.
Do you edit blog posts?
Sure do, just make sure they're all in a Word doc for me. Easier to edit that way and make sure I'm editing the right ones. ^^
What's the difference between this and Finishing Touch gig?
This is just for proofreading. Finishing Touch is for copyediting.
How do I know if I'm ready for a Galley edit?
It's always a good idea to have more than one set of eyes looking over your book. If you don't plan on revising any further, have your book formatted or plan on publishing soon, a galley edit might be for you.
Do you use an editing software?
No. I edit manually which means human error can occur.
Will my manuscript be completely error free?
No. I do not guarantee 100% perfection. I do guarantee I do the best I can, but mistakes can/do occur. This is why I offer a free revision.
