No. Beta reading is feedback and analysis, not editing. I'll show you what works, what doesn't, and why. The sample line edit included in higher packages demonstrates the how on a short excerpt, but your prose stays yours.
Can I send a longer manuscript?
Absolutely. Send me a message for a custom quote based on your word count and needs.
Will you preserve my tone and style?
100%. My goal is to help you improve your story without ever compromising your creative voice.
Do you use AI to read or judge my manuscript?
No. Every page is read by me, every observation is mine, earned the hard way. I use tools for formatting and translation of the final report, but the reading, the judgment, and the brutality are 100% human. Your demons deserve a real reader.
What genres within dark fantasy do you specialize in?
I thrive in Grimdark, Gothic Horror, Dark Epic Fantasy, and anything with morally gray characters and brutal worlds. If your story features cosmic horror, low-magic systems, or anti-heroes you love to hate, we're a perfect match.
How does your free sample work
Send me your first chapter (max 1,200 words). I'll return a bloody honest critique within 48 hours—no payment required, no hidden traps. It's a risk-free way to see if my style is the right fit for your story. If you like the butchery, we proceed. If not, no demons summoned.
Will you just say ‘I liked it’
I don’t do participation trophies. Expect surgical notes on where your pacing bleeds out, characters act OOC, or lore contradicts itself. Sugarcoating is for romance novels.
What’s your turnaround time?
It depends on the package: 7 days for up to 40k words, 10 days for up to 75k, 21 days for a full novel up to 110k. Need it faster? Extra-fast delivery (I call it Emergency Necromancy) cuts that to 3, 5, or 14 days. But fair warning: rushing art kills more stories than bad endings do.
Do you offer any spoiler-free guarantees?
Absolutely. Your manuscript is safe with me. I treat all projects with strict confidentiality. You have my word that I will not share, discuss, or plagiarize any part of your work. Upon request, I can sign a simple NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).
What format do you deliver the feedback in?
You'll receive a comprehensive Reader Report (PDF/Google Docs) structured with sections like Strengths, Major Concerns, Character Analysis, and Pacing. If you add the "Line-by-Line Comments" extra, you'll also get a version of your manuscript filled with inline comments and suggestions.
