I will build a tested windows file rename and sorting script from your CSV

About this gig
Turn a repetitive file task into a clear, repeatable local workflow.
I will adapt a Python script that copies files, renames the copies and sorts them into subfolders using your CSV mapping. Your source file contents stay unchanged.
Basic includes one workflow, one source folder and one CSV format, tested on up to 100 files totaling 10 MB. You receive the script, a dry-run preview, SHA-256 checks, a JSON manifest and a short Windows guide.
The workflow checks unsafe paths, reserved Windows names and destination collisions before copying. It does not overwrite existing files; identical copies are verified and skipped on repeat runs.
Delivery includes automated test results and checks against your agreed sample. My demo covers 30 files plus Windows edge-case tests.
Requires Python on your Windows PC. No GUI, installers, cloud accounts, scraping, content editing or background scheduling is included. Please send an anonymized sample and the desired output structure before ordering so I can confirm the scope.

FAQ
Will my original files be changed?
The script copies files to a separate output folder. It does not edit, rename or delete source files. A dry-run previews the mapping before copying.
Do I need Python or a paid app?
Python must be installed on your Windows PC. The script uses the standard library and needs no paid service. Installation, remote setup and a graphical interface are outside this package.
What happens if I run it again?
Identical existing copies are checked and skipped. Different content at a target path causes the run to stop instead of overwriting. An interruption can leave completed copies; the entire batch is not rolled back.
What files and folders are supported?
Ordinary local files, one source folder and one CSV mapping. This package does not edit file contents. Network drives, cloud placeholders, links and junctions are outside scope.
How is quality checked?
I run automated tests, compare source and output hashes, and check the agreed sample. One revision covers adjustments within the agreed workflow.
Can you compare two product CSV lists instead of renaming files?
Message me with anonymized samples first. Exact SKU-based CSV comparison is a separate custom scripting scope, not included in Basic. Missing or duplicate keys are flagged for review. No automatic corrections or shop imports.
