With complex models, it is not advisable to engage in multiple regression to establish the linkages among the variables under study. The optimal solution with complex research models involving mediating and/or moderating variables is Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). SEM has many advantages over multiple regression when it comes to having complex research models.
There are two types of SEM: Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Covariance-based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM). Fortunately, I am adept at both.
