Assalamu Alaikum! I'm Maria, and I've been teaching Qur'an for the past few years Tajweed, recitation, and Hifz to students of all ages, both online and in person.
I got into teaching because I genuinely love watching students go from struggling to sound out letters to reading confidently on their own. I keep things patient and structured, whether I'm working with a 6-year-old just starting Noorani Qaida or an adult who wants to properly correct their Tajweed.
A bit about me:
I'm certified through Jamia Ayesha Siddiqa Al-Kubra (Sanad-ul-Faragh in Qira'at, Tajweed, and Tafseer), and I teach comfortably in both Urdu and English. I use Zoom or Google Meet, whatever works best for you.
Every student is different, so before we start I like to have a quick chat to figure out your current level and what you're hoping to work on then I build a plan around that instead of using one generic approach for everyone.

FAQ
Do you teach complete beginners?
Yes, definitely. If you or your child have never read Arabic before, I start from the very basics(Noorani Qaida), before moving into Qur'an recitation.
What ages do you teach?
I teach both kids and adults. My approach is pretty different depending on the age group, so lessons are tailored either way.
Do you teach in English or Urdu?
Both. I'm fluent in each, so we can go with whichever you're more comfortable with.
What platform do we use for lessons?
Zoom or Google Meet, whichever is easier for you.
How do I know what package to order?
Honestly, message me first. Tell me a bit about your (or your child's) current level and goals, and I'll recommend what makes sense,no need to guess.
What if I miss a lesson?
Just let me know in advance when possible and we'll find another time. Life happens, I get it.
Do you give homework?
Usually a bit, yes. mainly short daily practice so progress carries over between sessions rather than starting from scratch each time.
