FAQ
What parts of the application do you write or edit?
I work on the textual sections of grant, residency, and festival applications, including project descriptions, conceptual frameworks, artist bios, and statements of purpose. The service focuses on writing and editing clear, coherent texts adapted to the requirements of the call.
Do you prepare budgets or fill out application forms?
No. This service focuses on writing and editing application texts only. Budget preparation, financial planning, spreadsheets, and administrative form completion are not included.
Can you adapt my project to a specific grant or residency call?
Yes. If you provide the guidelines of the call, I can adapt the text to match the objectives, criteria, and format required by that specific program.
What materials do you need from me?
You can send project notes, drafts, previous applications, artist statements, or any background information about the project. The more context you provide, the more precise and tailored the final text will be.
What if my text is longer than the word limit in the package?
If your document exceeds the word limit of the selected package, I can edit or write additional content through the “additional words” gig extra. Feel free to message me before ordering if you are unsure which package fits your project.
Do you work with artists outside the visual arts?
Yes. I regularly work with projects in performing arts, dance, audiovisual practices, interdisciplinary art, and contemporary culture. The writing approach can be adapted to different artistic fields and institutional contexts.
Do you guarantee that my application will receive funding?
No. Funding decisions depend on many factors beyond the text itself, including competition, program priorities, and evaluation committees. My role is to help present your project clearly, coherently, and professionally.
