Hi, I'm Mariel! I am an a cappella vocal arranger with over fifteen years of active arranging experience. I have arranged pieces for groups of every size, with a wide range of voice parts and genres.
Songs can be arranged as exact covers, or artistically reimagined! I can arrange mash-ups of suitable songs and medleys of any songs you'd like. I consult on which sound would be most suitable for both your group and your standard audiences, so as to maximize the effect you hope to achieve in performance.
For each arrangement, you will receive a free consultation meeting to discuss your goals and ideals for the arrangement. Any specialty timelines, additions, or adjustments to your selected package will be confirmed at this point. Your arrangement will be delivered within 45-60 days (depending upon your package). If a package with revisions is selected, your notes will be taken, and a second draft will be sent within 14 days. You will be entitled to full use of your arrangement with proper accreditation.

FAQ
Do I need to be able to read music to use this arrangement?
No! I work with a website notation software called Noteflight which allows you to play the parts out loud and learn aurally. No musical knowledge is required of your singers, so long as they can replicate pitch.
Do I need playback software to hear the parts?
No. Noteflight's free version is user-friendly and easily accessible. You will receive links to your arrangement, as well as to each isolated voice part, so that you can play them out loud.
Can you arrange songs in a different key from the original?
Absolutely.
How many voice parts should I have in my arrangement?
For the fullest sound, I would recommend four parts, plus a soloist. If you have a large group and more than one singer will be assigned to each part, be sure to distribute voices for balance and blend. Adding additional voice parts is a great way to ensure a sound that does justice to the original.
Can you arrange songs in different languages?
Yes. An upcharge may apply if correct chords for the song (in any key) are not readily accessible.
Can you mash up any two songs?
Not ANY two songs, no. They need to be written in the same time signature and in keys which are reasonably compatible with one another. If you would like a mash-up arranged, we will discuss the suitability and structure of your vision at the consultation meeting.
Can you arrange any songs into a medley?
Yes, as medleys transition from one song to the next, rather than intertwining together. An upcharge may apply if your desired medley would be longer than the length of a standard song.
What does it mean for a song to be reimagined?
If you've ever heard a rock song sung as a slow acoustic ballad or a country song sung like jazz, then you've listen to a song that has been reimagined. If you are picturing your chosen song as a different genre, with a different structure, or with a different energy, we can make that happen!
How do I give notes for a revision?
If your package includes a revision, you may email a list of desired adjustments once you receive the first draft of your arrangement. I will clarify anything that requires further explanation and adjust the arrangement according to your wishes.
How can I use the arrangement?
You may print, distribute, record, and perform the arrangement, so long as proper accreditation of my name as the arranger is listed in each instance. Notification of any major changes to the arrangement after final delivery will be required for proper accreditation. Recording royalties may apply.
