About this Gig
PowerPoint to HTML/SCORM conversion includes taking your prepared PowerPoint file in ppt/pptx format and converting it to HTML 5 and SCORM 1.2/2004 format which is used by most popular learning management systems (LMS). Your PowerPoint may include text, images, animation, audio, and video. The result will be a zip package (SCORM package) of HTML content and a JavaScript player that can be used directly in a browser for local CBT, or uploaded to any SCORM compliant LMS.

Most conversions can be delivered in 2-3 days. Complex course that involves setting individual timing requirements per slide, or complex navigation will require discussion.
You may submit up to two revisions within 7 days of the initial conversion at no additional cost. This is to correct typographical or other content changes you make to your PowerPoint.
NOTE: The scope of this gig does not include making changes to content or creating content. For example, any videos, images, slides, and text must already exist in the PowerPoint.
I can assist with content editing at an additional cost as a custom gig.

What devices will the converted content work on?
Because the content is converted to HTML 5 it will work on any device that supports modern web browsers. This includes desktop/laptop computers (Windows and Mac), mobile phones (Apple/iOS, Android, Windows), and tablets (iPad, Android, Amazon, etc.)
Can my PowerPoint include audio and video?
Yes. I do recommend that your video segments be around 5 minutes. This will provide the best viewer retention and attention to your content.
What Learning Management Systems will the converted format work with?
The provided SCORM package will work with any SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 compliant Learning Management System. Packages will be delivered in SCORM 1.2 unless your specify you need SCORM 2004.
What if I find a typographical error in my PowerPoint and I need it converted again?
No problem! You may submit up to 2 revisions of your PowerPoint. If you need to submit additional revisions, beyond the 2 that are included, you may do so at a reduced cost.
Can I set timing requirements per slide?
Yes. Required time per slide may be based on the time values you supply, or based on the length of audio on each slide.
Can the colors of the navigation buttons and other attributes be customized?
Yes. Navigation button colors, text, and other attributes of the player framework that displays the content can be customized for an additional cost. See the extras section.
Will you add images, videos, audio, or text to my PowerPoint for me?
No. This gig is for the conversion of the content you have already created. Content creation is time consuming and requires knowledge of the subject matter. I can assist you with editing your content, or improving your content at an additional cost. This would be done through a custom gig.
Why should I choose you over others offering SCORM conversion?
Others offer this type of gig using free tools that can easily be found on the web. Many times these tools do not work very well. I use commercial tools that properly convert audio, video, images, and animations from PowerPoint. I also take the time to communicate and understand your project goals.

Needed to get an employee training migrated from one system to another, with the new system leveraging SCORM. Our first iteration of the PPT was not good, but Mark helped us along the process and delivered us something that will work well and prior to the deadline.

I'd tried to work with a couple of other people prior to this, on my SCORM conversion, and I got so much misleading information causing a lot of re-work....
