About this gig

There are three points you should keep in mind before investing in an injection mold.


First of all, Mold Structure


Go with a modular insert design. Instead of making the cavity and core as one solid piece, design them as removable inserts. This makes it easy to switch between a single-cavity and a multi-cavity setup.


If you expect sales to start small and then grow, it makes sense to begin with a single-cavity mold for trial production. Once volumes increase, you can upgrade it to multi-cavity mold.


Also, keep the product and mold design as simple as possible. Try to avoid complicated features like sliders and lifters, cuz they drive up mold cost and make changes harder later on.

When it comes to materials, Use common, easy-to-replace plastics like ABS, PP, or PC, and stay away from specialty plastics. This keeps costs under control in the early stages.

Second of all,Mould making

Its best to start with a soft mold or a simple mold, It's better using a single-cavity design. As long as the part can be released smoothly, try to use a simple structure like two-plate mold.
