I've been writing and performing comedy for 10 years, studying independently and through workshops taught by members of Second City and UCB.
I understand comedy at a molecular level and I will offer a full breakdown of your material with advice & critiques on how to take it to the next level...
I WILL NOT WRITE IT FOR YOU, but I will break it down and shine a fresh light on it with insightful critiques that will help you improve the bit, and you as a writer.
As a gig extra, we can do a phone or video chat for a writing session together.
I have conducted this service to new and established comedians, in person and over the phone for the past 3 years and all have discovered new levels of understanding for their writing. I also facilitate and host a weekly writers room and open mic in New York City that regularly draws working comedians.
I offer an objective and analytical perspective on your material to make you funnier and allow your audiences to see you as the hilarious performer you are. Comedy sucks when its created in a vacuum. I'm here to help.

Can you critique a video?
Sure, just give me the link to your performance This can just be you at your desk in an empty room or a snippet from a live show, or even a full live set (just let me know which bit you want help on if it's not the whole thing)
Do I need to write the whole joke out verbatim?
If you can't send me a video link to a performance, or an audio clip, you will need to send me the exact wording you use.
Can I just give you the bullet points?
You must send a fully fleshed out bit as a video/ audio clip or a transcript. My service is to help you find the hidden gems and polish them with you're own voice and perspective, not to give you free jewelry... Comedy is personal, and in order to be successful, you need to write in your own voice.
How do I know you won't steal my jokes?
Comedy is best when its personal. Jokes you write from your perspective, will not work for me and mine. I have plenty of jokes of my own and I don't need yours. I actually just wrote three new jokes in the course of editing this gig offer alone. Please let me help you with yours.
