About this gig

Recommendations:

The mixing will take place in Reaper, at 48 kHz sample rate and 24-bit depth. If your project has different settings, don't worry, you don't need to convert anything, I'll take care of it. The only request here is to avoid 16-bit format.

If your project is complex, with heavy sound design or strong interdependencies between tracks (e.g., side-chain compression, bus saturation), it's ok to group similar instruments together and export them as a summed file. Please add the tag GRP or SUMM to such filenames, e.g., RHYTHM_GTR_SUMM, VIOLIN_GRP.

No need to remove processing from all channels, only from those where you're not sure or believe I can improve it (this can be discussed). Reverbs and delays can either be disabled or bounced to a separate return track (if possible).

All tracks should start and end in sync.

Please remove processing from the master bus, especially dynamic processing.

Include the tempo and key.

It's highly recommended to also provide:

  • A demo mix of your song.
  • Several reference tracks
