Helping Authors Polish, Perfect, and Publish Their Stories with Expertise
About this Gig
WILL A READER FEEL YOUR STORY THE WAY YOU WANT THEM TO FEEL IT?
You've spent months building the plot, planting clues, and shaping the perfect twist. But what if the tension doesn't land? What if readers predict the reveal, lose interest in the middle, or never feel the urgency you intended?
Friends and family may say it's great. They mean well, but you need a reader who will tell you what works and what doesn't.
That's where I come in.
As your thriller beta reader, I'll read your manuscript from a genuine reader's perspective and provide honest manuscript feedback on:
Tension and suspense
Pacing and reader engagement
Plot holes and confusing moments
Twists, reveals, and predictability
Character choices and believability
Scenes where the story loses momentum
You'll know where your story grips readers, where it lets go, and what may need attention before you publish or query.
No empty praise. No pretending every page works.
Just an honest reader's perspective on the thriller you've worked so hard to build.

FAQ
What if I've already had beta readers and they said it was great?
That's exactly why you might need me. Friends, family, and casual beta readers often avoid hard truths to protect the relationship. I have no reason to spare your feelings, only to make your manuscript stronger. If it's genuinely great, I'll tell you why it works, so you know what to keep.
What if your feedback crushes my confidence?
I critique the manuscript, not you. Every note comes with why it matters and how to fix it, never just "this doesn't work." You'll finish reading my notes with a clear next step, not a spiral.
I'm not sure my twist is original enough. Can you even tell?
Yes, this is one of the most common fears I hear, and one of my specialties. I read widely in thriller/mystery/crime, so I can flag if your twist feels familiar, telegraphed, or genuinely lands. I'll tell you honestly either way.
What if my manuscript isn't 'ready' yet? Is it too early to send it to you?
There's no such thing as too early. In fact, catching pacing or tension issues before you polish prose line by line saves you from rewriting scenes twice. Rough draft or fifth draft, I meet your manuscript where it is.
Will you just tell me what I want to hear?
No, and that's the point. If you wanted comfort, you'd ask a friend. You're here because you want the truth about whether your thriller actually thrills. That's what I deliver.
What happens after I get the critique? Am I on my own?
Never. If something in my notes is unclear, message me; I'll clarify.
Can you beta read psychological, crime, mystery, and horror thrillers?
Yes. I can beta read thrillers across these subgenres, with particular attention to suspense, pacing, tension, clues, reveals, and reader engagement.
Do you only point out problems?
No. I’ll also tell you which scenes, characters, reveals, and moments genuinely worked for me so you know what should be preserved.
What if I already know my plot works but I'm worried about the suspense?
That is exactly where a fresh reader helps. I’ll focus on how the tension actually feels while reading, not how it was intended to feel.
Will you tell me if my thriller starts losing momentum?
Yes. I’ll point out where the story pulled me forward, where my attention weakened, and what caused that change. You’ll know which sections may need tightening.
