Adobe Lightroom Classic support most image file types. However, it is best to provide camera RAW files formats such as NEF, DNG, CR2 & ARW to ensure the best results. If you only have JPEGs, I can still do some adjustments, but they don't provide much room for enhancement.

While they both can do the same thing, their purposes are very different. Adobe Lightroom focuses on non-destructive methods to enhancing photos in large numbers, while Photoshop focuses on the manipulation and heavy alteration of images for composite work.

While noise-reduction technology has improved significantly, it cannot fully eliminate noise in dark images. De-noising may improve image quality slightly, but heavily noisy images are not expected to be completely noise-free.

Sharpening improves edge definition and can enhance the appearance of image clarity, but it cannot restore lost focus. Lightroom can sharpen a soft image to some extent, but an out-of-focus photo cannot be made truly in focus.
